Stalker's Lodge is a new architect designed holiday house, featuring a fabulous glass-fronted extension with glorious views across the rolling fields and glen. The ground floor is semi-open plan with generous living space. White walls and oak flooring combine with contemporary designer fabrics and furniture for a modern but comfortable feel. There is a sleek luxurious kitchen with stone worktops and seating around the island hob – perfect for convivial cooking. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining/ sitting room has an extending dining table that can sit up to 10 comfortably. A large corner sofa is the perfect spot to relax in front of the TV.
The double height extension features a huge corner window so you can sit back and soak up the view, whatever the weather. It has a wood burning stove and a second television. Sliding doors open to the deck out front and to the patio at the rear where there is a table and chairs for outdoor eating as well as a charcoal barbeque and a chiminea. A wireless music system with built-in ceiling speakers allows you to enjoy your music from your smart phone or iPod. The all important boot room provides plenty of space for outdoor gear, dog beds and drying things.
Heating and hot water are by a biomass log boiler that runs on waste timber from the estate, ensuring the house is beautifully warm and eco friendly too. The garden is securely fenced and has a playframe for children. There's also a games room with pool table, table tennis and darts (the games room is shared with Keeper's Cottage).
Stalker's Lodge can be booked with Keeper's Cottage next door - perfect for two families or an extended family get together.
As this is a new website we do not have many reviews for Stalker's Lodge here as yet but you can find more than 120 5* reviews via our other booking platforms, AirBnB and Vrbo. You will always find the best rates by booking direct on this site though....
Upstairs there are three bedrooms with exceptionally comfortable Hypnos beds, feather duvets and crisp white bedlinen. All the beds are zip link so can be made up as doubles (super kingsize) or singles.
The luxurious bathrooms feature quality contemporary fittings and underfloor heating. Thick cotton towels are supplied, along with organic shower gel, shampoo and soaps from the Highland Soap Company. Bedroom 1 has an en suite shower room. Bedrooms 2 and 3 share the family bathroom which has a bath and separate shower. Bedroom 3 is the smallest bedroom and is perfect for two children or as a cosy double.
We can provide synthetic bedding for allergy sufferers. There are two travel cots available.

Short breaks are a minimum of 3 nights. Minimum 7 night stay in July and August, Friday to Friday. A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance is due 42 days before check-in. If you have paid a Good Housekeeping Deposit it will be returned to you no more than 7 days after check-out, assuming no damage. Up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome (see our Ts & Cs for dog house rules - click link on Cancellation Policy). Please be aware that the wifi internet can be slow. It is fine for browsing and emails but not streaming movies or music. Whilst there is a good phone signal and 4G for most networks around the estate, the signal inside the house is variable. If in doubt please contact us.
We are currently offering full refunds for any bookings that subsequently have to be cancelled due to Covid-19 travel restrictions or illness. Our normal cancellation policy is described below.
If you cancel at least 60 days before your check-in date you will get a 100% refund for the amount you've paid. For cancellations made 30-60 days before check-in you will get a 50% refund. For cancellations made less than 30 days before check-in there will be no refund. In the event of a cancellation we will do our best to re-let those dates and if we are successful we will refund you the value of the new let minus your deposit.
