Welcome to Straloch

Straloch is a small, family run estate in Highland Perthshire. We love welcoming guests and always do our utmost to ensure you have a superb holiday experience, from bespoke picnics and wildlife watching, to stylish interiors and ludicrously comfortable beds.

We're delighted to have received over 300 5* reviews since we opened our doors for business back in 2015. Those fine folk at VisitScotland even awarded us “Best Self Catering Holiday Accommodation Experience 2020” for the region.

Tucked up one of Perthshire's prettiest glens, Straloch is located on the southern fringe of the Cairngorms National Park, right in the heart of Scotland. Set against the dramatic backdrop of a steep rocky ridge with a tranquil loch in front, the scenery is nothing short of spectacular.  To the north there are miles of rugged heather hills and mountains to escape to and to the south the gently rolling pastures and wooded hills of Strathardle glen. And with 3,000 acres to discover, it's a nature lover's paradise.

Straloch is a hidden gem for families with children.  Enjoy outdoor adventures like den building in the Millennium Wood, collecting eggs from the hen house in the Walled Garden or rowing across to the island for a campfire tea. Both gardens have play frames and the quiet estate road is safe for children to cycle up and down.

And although it feels wonderfully remote, we're only 15 minutes drive from the popular visitor hub of Pitlochry. We're also well located for a wide array of day trips, whether it be Royal Deeside to the north east, Aviemore and Loch Ness to the north or one of the many famous castles in the area such as Blair Castle, Scone Palace and Glamis. For the more adventurous, take your pick of adrenaline fuelled watersports on offer locally, from white water rafting to bungee jumping. Glenshee Ski Centre is just a 40 minute drive away.
