Straloch Estate

Book in at the Dower House and the estate is at your disposal. On the sporting side, the loch provides excellent brown trout fishing from the boat or the side. It`s not stocked, so the fish are genuinely wild and fight like billy-ho when you get one on.

Cast a Black Pennell or Grouse and Claret, and see if you can beat the house record of 3.8 lb. Hind stalking, from November to February, may be on the cards depending on exactly when you visit and the keeper`s availability.

Either way, there`s no shortage of estates nearby where shooting and stalking can be arranged with a little bit of notice. Similarly, you're spoilt for choice when it comes to salmon fishing with rivers such as the Tay, Tummel, Blackwater and Ericht all within thirty minute's drive.
